Happy Halloweenie!

We stayed in this Halloween, which was just as well. Sabine wanted to try all of her costumes and do her tricks for plenty of treats. I cannot believe how good Sabine was during her very long photo shoot with tricky costumes–she also reacted really well to my other roomie, Renita, who hasn’t worked as much with Sabine handling. Both Ren and Sabine did great.

Our first shot was of Sabine’s Spidey costume. I thought this was going to be her true Halloween costume this year. As cute as it was, it was very difficult to get a good shot. Maybe next time we should save the more difficult costumes for later.

Trick or Treat! I hope it’s a treat!

Happy Halloween

The next costume was one we found at Target, and was made specifically for cats. I don’t know why they sell cat costumes that go on the head. Everyone knows cats hate stuff on their heads! This was an uncomplicated costume, but due to Sabine’s size, she looks more like a turkey than a chicken.

Bok bok bok bok BAWWWKK!

what do you get when you cross a chicken and a priest? This.

Next comes the classic cowgirl costume. Oddly enough, I was supposed to be Sanjaya this year for Halloween. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my hair right, and since I was rushing to get ready, I gave up, donned a blonde wig, and dressed as a white cowgirl. Sabine would have made a good match–mother/daugther costumes! I think this is definitely my favorite costume for Sabine. She wears it so well and has so many varied expressions (outtakes to come).

Sittin’ pretty

You lookin’ at me…punk?

While in DC, I spotted this panda costume and had to have it. First off, I love pandas. Second, I couldn’t wait to squeeze Fatty’s body into even more fur! We often call Sabine “bear face” because she has a major staring problem. When she stares (oftentimes for hours on end) at us, she looks like a teddy bear, not a cat. She has serious identity issues.

Cutie baby!

Pand-bine

Last, but not least, her old favorite t-shirt/skeleton costume. By the time we got to this shot, Sabine was so relaxed and comfortable, she was lounging around and posing like a pro–not to mention purring the entire time. After we completed our photo shoot, Ren and I took some time to review the pictures. Sabine came up behind us, popped her head inbetween the both of us, and took a look at the pictures too. I think she was proud of her work. Such a little ham.

Now she’s just showing off

It’s a tough life being a spoiled princess

All-in-all I’m pretty happy with this photo session. I need to color correct the images some, but it was definitely one of Sabine’s best photo shoots ever.

I left Sabine’s “Skelebine” outfit on, and she came right up to me while watching tv, plopped herself by my side, and went to sleep. What a good baby.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
