^^We finally made it back to Yosemite this Summer^^
Remember how long it took for Summer to even get here? And now, just like that, I’m smelling cinnamon and vanilla potpourri in the stores and I know that can only mean Fall is right around the corner. Fall is my most favorite season but damn if this year didn’t go by just like *that*.
This summer we went camping, hiking, miniature golfing, tubing and traveled back to Cali 2x and saw lots of our old friends (the best). We made a strawberry pie. We saw a couple musicals. Sly’s car broke down and he was stranded in Atlanta for over a week. I got sick from a)drinking too much of my sister’s delicious spicy watermelon drink b)heat stroke and dehydration. We became addicted to cold-pressed iced coffee. It rained A LOT. We had a mini family reunion in Michigan (the best part 2). We watched a lot of sunsets (but not many sunrises). We stayed up late reading comics, watching documentaries on pelicans (Sly), and eating the best burger in the dinkiest dive diner.
We did a lot this summer, but we also spent a lot of quiet time just hanging out with our kitties, our families, and each other.
It was a good summer. And I hate that it’s not yet September and I’m referring to it in the past tense already.
And maybe one day I’ll finally post pictures (even though I’m like a year behind with my “real” photos) to prove that it all happened, that it was all real. But for now we are doing our best to enjoy these last few days of Summer and squeeze whatever time we have left out of them.

September 3, 2013 at 7:18 amYay! You blogged again – I’ve been missing your beautiful photos! I hear you on summer going by in a flash and being waaaay behind on posting photos – I have a lot of catch up to do, too. And as far as I’m concerned, summer isn’t over until Sept. 22nd! 🙂

September 3, 2013 at 9:29 amI’m ALIIIVEEE!
I kept meaning to post more — I certainly have a crapload of pix to do so — but Summer took over. I’m still counting September as “Summer” too as I still have things on my my “Summer To-do” list that are bleeding over into this month. I’m saying it still counts!
